We're delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Beethoven Prize at the Beethoven International Chamber Music Competition for the most outstanding performance of a work by... Ludwig van Beethoven!
After spending a few amazing and intense days at the wonderful Penderecki Centre in Luslawice, Poland, and progressing through the semi-final and to the final, the jury decided to award us the prize for our performance of Beethoven's Op. 74.

At the end of September / beginning of October later this year, we will be embarking on a 2 week residency in Bloemfontein, South Africa where we will be working and performing alongside the Odeion String Quartet in their 2017 Chamber Music Festival. We will be holding individual masterclasses, giving seminars on rehearsal techniques and performing Dvorak String Quartet no 14 Op 105, Debussy String Quartet and Enescu and Mendelssohn Octets with the Odeion String Quartet.

We had a lovely afternoon performing Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Mozart alongside flutist Lucy Pond in Wetley Rocks. We were delighted to raise £700 which goes directly towards the Cardiology Ward at the University Hospital of North Midlands.
